The football club Mockingbird Valley girls under 18 team FC Milwaukee 3-1 on Wednesday, losing in the final of the US Youth Soccer region II Championships in Appleton, Wis.
It was the first time that a team of Mockingbird Valley had reached a regional final.
Casey Signee Whitfield, a product manual High School, University of Louisville scored Mockingbird Valley of goal. He led all scorers in the 16-team with seven goals in five games.
The Louisville Club was a group of Javanon to girls semifinals. The U14 team Javanon black spells of King Soccer Academy, Ohio 3-1 on Tuesday.
Vollmer, Defender Jamie sophomore was a two-time all-State selection, Indiana at Westfield High School, transferred from Butler University in Indiana University. As a freshman started four games and had two assists for a team of Butler 16-1-3.
Sacred Heart girls coach Rick Heim was named the year of the National Athletic Association coaches High School. According to its website, the NHSACA recognizes coaches not only for a season of coaching, but their achievements and for lifetime.
Sacred Heart were tied for second in last year's class 3-A cross country meet as senior Emma Brink won his fourth straight individual Championship. The ancients also led the Valkyries Championships 3-A Class this month.
The sixth annual Kentucky-Tennessee all-star series is set for today at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tenn. best series--three will start at 2 p.m. EDT, with games to follow at 4 and 6 (if necessary). Coverage will be available at mtsnonline.com.

Keenan Burton, a former manual and the University of Kentucky player, will host the third annual Reaching for the stars of football and Cheerleading Camp for ages 6-14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the manual. The camp is free and NFL and former United Kingdom and the University of Louisville players in attendance.
Lexington Catholic boys coach Terry justice was named coach of Transylvania young men program. Was the high school State coach of the year in 2004 and ' 05 and led the Knights to runner-up finishes in 2006 and ' 07.
