Youth football coach facing sex abuse charges-Chicago Tribune

Youth football coach Crest Hill has been charged with sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old boy, officials said today.


Darrell Stephenson j., 24, from the 2000 block of Manico drive, was arrested Friday in the original Hill Crest after investigation, according to a release today from the extract of Sheriff will County Police.


Stevenson, who has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, who appeared in Court this morning and his arrest was set at $ 750,000.


He should enter the required 10 percent of such a bond, also was ordered to have no contact with any minors.


Depending on the version, the charges came after a weeklong investigation during which police determined he had sexual intercourse with Stephenson victim 12-year-old male. The release did not say whether the victim was a member of a soccer team, coached by Stephenson.


Stephenson had football programs in Frankfort, Joliet and Plainfield, Liberation said.


In version, the police said that Stephenson "is believed" to be an associate professor in Joliet and Plainfield.
