MILWAUKEE--Katie Sigler scored with seven seconds remaining in regulation to lift Wisconsin Rapids case over new Holstein, 1-0, on Friday morning in a WIAA Division 3 State semifinal girls soccer at Uihlein soccer Park.
The second semifinal Friday, Kettle Moraine Lutheran of an autonomous Abbey Hoerchner scored goal 1 minute, 9 seconds into overtime to beat Mayville, 1-0.
In the first fight, Sigler received a passage inside the 18-yard from her sister, Mary, and hit the ball on the left side of the goal for the award-winning tally.
New Holstein, defending Division 3 champion, finishes the season, 15-9-3.
The Huskies outshot the Royals 16-11, including 11-5 in the first half.
Case (15-3-1) will play Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 10 a.m. Saturday at the final D3 State.
The Chargers improved to 16-6-1 and ended the season 12 Mayville-8-1.
Cardinals goalie Amy Tarleton made 10 saves and KML Mayville, outshot 27-6.
