Approximately 4000 players and spectators as 10,000 are expected to converge at the St. Louis Youth Soccer Association Complex at St. Charles for the Missouri State Cup 2011.
The event, which includes 192 of upper under-13 through under 19 boys and girls choirs from all parts of the State, will start on Saturday at 9 am and will run through Thursday afternoon.
In all, I played 289 games soccer.
"As anticipated, recent days have been quite hectic, and I am sure that will continue through the week, '' said David Griesenauer, Executive Director of the Missouri Youth Soccer Association."We started working on putting this event together just a few weeks after we arrange regional tournament last year at the end of June. The event format is a round-robin groups, with all they need to win their bracket before move rounds out-knock. League games are scheduled for Tuesday (U-19 U-18 boys, girls and girls U-17), Wednesday (U-16 boys, U-15 girls and girls U-16) and Thursday (U-13, U-14, U-15, U-17 and U-18 boys and girls U-16 and U-14).
The winners of the State of Missouri will advance to compete in the tournament Midwest (region 2) on June 24-29, Appleton, Wisc., there are winners move with Youth Soccer National Championships US 26 July-31 in Phoenix.

Both Barry and JB Marine coach Jim Wipke said that there are positives and negatives to play close to home. The event has been played in St. Louis since 2007.
"The obvious advantage is economic, and there is something to say about the possibility to sleep in your own bed instead of living in a suitcase, '' Barry said.
But, as said Wipke, there is also a certain structure that goes with playing away from home.
"When we travel, travel as a group and we are able to get the girls into a routine of meals and meetings and so forth, '' said Wipke, promeletimenis JB Marine battalions in the U-13, U-14 and U-16 brackets."This year, because everyone is going their separate ways when we play, there is only a little more uncertainty than I would.
