LIVESTRONG Sporting Park hoping to set the standard for future MLS stadiums-Forbes (blog)

Major League Soccer opened Livestrong Sporting Park Kansas City this week, the 11th footbal League-especially in growing. The $ 200 million facility was packed for KC sports game for the Chicago Fire, and is the seat of 18,467 for fans of football and 25,000 for concerts. The park itself is a new haven for Midwestern football fan, but also can be a recipe for land in all sports.

The biggest attraction for Livestrong Park is how technologically advanced it is. The stadium is full with more than 150 high-density routers, enabling WiFi access points to fit mobile and hand held devices around the stadium. There are also more than 330 HD televisions throughout the stadium, which is able to offer customized content for scores outside the town, local promotions, and live game coverage. All this work was done by Cisco connected sports solutions, leading the way in technology for new stages (you've made the new Meadowlands Stadium and new Cowboys to name a couple). According to Cisco solutions GM sports fun and Senior VP Dave Holland, Livestrong Park is one of the "two or three ' sites using this type of router, but the first in the United States." Generally, this is definitely the place designed to get attention for progressive thinking and Major League Soccer in hopes that it catches some attention. The question is, will all be enough to transform one of American football's least valuable franchises?

After the intervention of the Kansas City franchise for 15 million dollars for 2006, the Group ownership, OnGoal, LLC immediately got to work on plans for a new football specific stadium. Cisco and shrank them immediately even appointed a local sports, architecture firm Populous, to ensure that the stadium had a unique, local feel. Many insiders, OnGoal represents a wave of "new money" owners who are betting on the long-term viability of football in the United States. In fact, nobody would like to see more successful Livestrong Park from the League itself, as has been observed consistently in KC at the bottom of the presence and merchandise sales. Yesterday evening (although unfortunately with an exciting line up of the NBA Finals) was coming from a party for the sports franchise, but KC also could serve as a blueprint for all sports franchises will forward. If OnGoal is successful creating lasting, passionate fan base through investment, will ratify the new wave of investors in MLS, and will bring you new, who see that upgrading experience of fan can see a significant return on their investment.

Will be effective? So far, more than 11,000 season tickets have been sold for the stadium 18,467-seat. Whatever the outcome, the group will continue to push OnGoal folder in order to cultivate a passionate, energetic fan base. After all, this is the same Chad Ochocinco team offered a dream, and then made him an honorary member of the group. As VP of business development David Ficklin says, "at the end of the day, it is not possible to monitor what is happening in the field, but we can control anything else about the experience, and experience of football, when done right, it is certainly something that is unique.
